FAQ

When is the best time to schedule a maternity photo session?

The ideal time for maternity images is usually between 28 and 34 weeks of pregnancy. At this point, your baby bump is beautifully rounded, and you’re still comfortable enough for some great poses. Every pregnancy is different, though, so let’s chat about what works best for you!

What’s the ideal time for our photo session?

For newborn in home sessions, around 10am works well to keep things relaxed and easy. For family and maternity shoots, we’ll aim for golden hour—just before sunset or just after sunrise. This time of day gives us that gorgeous, soft light that makes for truly stunning images!

What should we wear for our family photo session?

Coordinating outfits really makes a difference. Choose colours that complement each other and avoid busy patterns. Soft, neutral, earthy tones usually work well and help everyone look their best. Feel free to bring a few outfit changes if you’re unsure! After booking, I’ll also send you a client guide full of tips to help you prepare.

How long does a typical session last?

Most sessions last between 1 to 2 hours. For newborn sessions, we might need a bit more time to accommodate feedings, diaper changes, and soothing. Don’t worry—I’ll make sure we go at a comfortable pace for everyone!

How long will it take to receive our images after the session?

You can expect to receive your edited images within about 4-6 weeks after the session. I’ll provide them through a secure online portal so you can view and enjoy them from the comfort of your own home!

Can we include pets in our family session?

Absolutely! Pets are family too. Just let me know ahead of time, and we’ll make sure to include them in the session.

What if we need to reschedule our session?

No worries at all—life happens! Just let me know as soon as possible, and we’ll work together to find a new date that fits your schedule.

What happens if the weather isn’t great for our outdoor shoot?

If the weather isn’t cooperating, don’t worry! I’ll check the forecast and reach out a few days before our session. If it looks like we might get rain or unfavourable conditions, we’ll reschedule to a more suitable day. I want to make sure we have the best possible setting for your photos!

How do we book a session with you?

Booking is easy! Just reach out to me via email or the online contact form, and we’ll go over the details. I’ll send you a contract and a deposit invoice to secure your session date. I’m looking forward to working with you!
